That was me. The whole story is in "airspring.pdf" in the "Paul in Pittsfield's Mill Mods" in the group's FILES section.
Rick Grimm did roughly the same thing, but made a tider job of it with an 80# airspring he chose for the job. I was working with an airspring that I already had (from a VW Camper pop-top), which is the reason for the angle iron extension.
I'm thinking about moving my airspring to the inside of the column like the LMS kit. Probably not going to happen until I get the rest of my to-its rounded off.
