Your mill draws less than 5 amps, even when starting under a full load. I'm curious about the circuit itself - Are you plugged into a GFCI (ground fault) circuit ? They will trip if they sense the smallest leakage to ground. You can fabricate a safe GFCI tester by wiring a 3 prong plug on to an incandescent table lamp by connecting one of the lamp wires to the hot (smaller) blade, and the other to the ground (round) pin on the plug. If you plug this into a properly wired non-GFCI circuit, the lamp will light but will trip the circuit immediately if it is GFCI. -Pete
