[Special] [rcsoaringdigest] B2Streamlines announces preprint service

B2Streamlines, RC Soaring Digest publisher, has recently established a preprint service and has now made available the first of what is hoped will be a series of technical articles of interest to RC soaring enthusiasts and aeromodellers in general.

Preprints are a version of a scientific paper made available to the public before it is published in a peer-reviewed journal. A preprint allows the author to gain credit and establish a release date, to receive feedback so editing can place before the article is submitted to a journal, and increases the article visibility and citations by others, and garners attention in news and social media.

This first preprint is the work of Philip Randolph Patten, a long-time RCSD contributor, and is devoted to Newton’s theory of non-viscous inertial pressure drag. It includes Newton’s theory vs. d’Alembert’s paradox, each correct within differing conditions not knowable in the 18th century.

Please refer to the RCSD home <https://rcsoaringdigest.com> for links to a more detailed description of preprints and to the introduction to this preprint PDF. These links will take you to the B2Streamlines.com web site where preprints will be available for download.
