[GrizHFMinimill] R8 Hex collet ?

One of the things I would like to do with my new HF mill is to use it to notch tubing and angle stock to accept round tubing for mig welding. I remove the pilot from my hole saw, and use the mill to make the cut. Unfortunately my 'good' holesaw mandrel has a hex shank, which of course I can chuck up in the 1/2 chuck, but this creates a very long tool with potential for wobble and other problems. If I could find an R8 hex collet, life would be good. I have seen 5C hex collets but no R8. I'm thinking maybe I should find an R8 blank and cut a thread that the holesaws would thread on to, but there must be a better way, right ?
