Let me see if I understand this correctly, you have an attachment that uses a Morse Taper and when you put it in the spindle you want to know what locks it in place, correct?
Regardless of it being a Morse Taper or R-8 Spindle, both require a "draw bar" which is basically a long bolt that fits from the top of the spindle to the component inserted into the spindle which threads into the component and keeps everything in place with a specified amount of torque.
There is lots of invaluable information available on the internet, perhaps even watching a few youtube videos might come in handy for you.
Good Luck.

Subject: [GrizHFMinimill] chuck falls out
I am new to the machine tool thing in general. So I don't yet know all the terms and tool names.
I bought a used mill. It has a taper chuck to the Drive shaft.
On my first attempt to use it the chuck falls off the taper.
What is the procedure for putting it on and having it stay?
