Yes, shaded pole motors are quite hard to reverse; difficult
but not impossible to reverse! But these are permanently split capacitor
induction motors with the direction of rotation set by the inclusion of
the capacitor in one of the winding circuits! I will try to post a
simplified circuit diagram. Bill in Boulder
