New year, going back into time...
Was the KBMD-0240D unit you purchased "plug 'n play" or did you have to
buy a separate "Plug-in Horsepower Resistor" for it to complete the
project? I ask 'cuz I see references to the resistor in KB's
documentation but it doesn't say what the box's "default" value (if any) is.

I had the rather unpleasant mishap when I went to drill a hole in the bottom of the original controller box and when the 1/2 inch bit I was using broke through the plastic as it will it grabbed and I pulled, anyway I ran the drill bit across the full width of the board, now let me tell you this is a sinking feeling like someone just jerked the boat out from under you...

>>>Well after looking at the board, and a little research I found KB Electronic which made the board I trashed, and probably makes the board in the mill that you have.

The only thing I had to do was to install the resistor and there was something else but there was one on the board that I trashed (by the way is someone wants I can let them have it for a very good price) I did not get the FWD/REV Brake switch setup, I installed a DPDT toggle adn it has been fine since. I was also able to move the box from the side of the mill head to the back of the column which is a more sensible place for it as it clears up the side of the head on the left.

>>>anyone got controller problems and need a new one go direct to the source, you can also at times find the same or similar controllers on the Evil B#$%y for like 20 bucks, I have one from Minarac I gave 20 and shipping for 90 volt controller will handle up to a 1 hp motor. gonna stick it on my column drive for my ZX45 mill.
