I didn't have any shimming material plus I didn't immediately need the mill (I still need to get some items like a clamping kit and collets before I can use it) I figured that I'll have this mill apart again in the future so why not fix it so I don't have to mess with a shim ever again. I was worried that I'd mess it up, but so far so good...
