[GrizHFMinimill] Adventures in 3D printing

ACCESSORIES
The software can be free, or as expensive as you want. I
opted for free, myself. So what accessories are there?
1) I'd recommend a spool holder for the filament. You could
print one, or make one in a shop, or simply buy one as an add-on.
Keeps the filament moving freely.
2) A fan shroud for the fan. There's a little fan to cool the
plastic as it comes out of the extruder. This is needed for layers
after the first one. The shroud can be 3D printed, but the first
layer doesn't need it.
3) Automatic bed leveling. Tolerances on how close the print
head is to the bed are fairly small, likely on the order of 0.1 mm or
less. One major problem in most machines is that the beds are not
level over the amount of travel. Automatic bed leveling senses the
bed, and takes three readings to compensate for any tilt in the bed.
Yes, you want this….
4) LCD display. It will allow you to run the system from an SD
card. It's definitely more convenient, but somewhat costly (50 to 100
dollars)
