It was three times the cost for me. The SKF bearings were 30 each while the AC versions were 104 each!
SKF are top quality..

For what it's worth, I went with the angular contact bearings and have been happy with the result. The price is not much different from deep groove ball bearings when comparing bearings of comparable quality.
