This is not quite right.  Only the OWNER of the group can do the transfer. I know this because there was one group I was in that had to cease because the owner could not be found.  Of course in a small group the owner and moderator may be the same guy, but in a larger group there may be several moderators.

I am not sure if you are a moderator of this yahoo group. That is essential if you want to transfer messages, files and photos to groups.io. That is needed because you have to send an invite to transfer@groups..io and later you would have to make him a moderator of this group. He gets access to messages, files and photos only if he is a moderator.

It's currently empty, and I'll need some members besides myself. I will also need some co-owners and/or moderators to justify moving the archives and messages.
