Yes, you need all three, eventually. The three machines complement each other. A 3D printer can only make parts out of plastic, not metal. Metal 3D printers are available but prohibitively expensive. So for metal work the only choice in low cost machines is - a mini-lathe and a mini-mill.
One more point - 3D printers, particularly extrusion type, are quite crude and not very accurate. Much higher degree of accuracy is achievable with lathe and mill. SLA type 3D printers are a lot better but have limitations. Just sharing my own experience. YMMV
