My experience is the exact opposite.

These cheap ones are not accurate ... in that they have a max +/- 0.02
mm error.
This make them useless for knowing where your controlled point is.

They look good, and almost work .. for a DRO.
A dro is meant to tell you, in abs. terms, whether you are where you
want to be.

The difference between a press, push and sliding fit is -0.01 mm, 0.00
mm and +0.01 mm.
